Question regarding signing on

A family member is currently signing on at a social welfare office in one county but will be moving soon.

Is it possible to have the benefits transferred to a different office and sign on in another county rather than travelling back and forth all the time to sign?

I am totally clueless about this myself so sorry if it a silly question

Yes, in fact they have to advise DSP of change of address. The normal procedure for someone on a jobseeker's payment is to visit the social welfare local office that is nearest to their new address. Staff there will request their file to be transferred over to them. They will have to bring proof of the new address & can request to have their payment transferred to their local post office.
