    Hi all,
I am hoping to hear from a few people in the Construction Industry at the moment. Basically I qualified as an electrician in 2002 and worked with a couple of big companies. I was also self-employed until 2008/9 until everything dried up.
Since then I have been working for Sky but I am very keen to return to my original trade. We have all read recently about the slow revival of the housing market and the potential lack of tradesmen in Ireland ( due to lack of new entrants and emigration.

I would really like to hear of any tradesmen who are back working in the construction industry or where they applied etc.
I was going to post in the Electrical forum but will try it here first!
Any info would be much appreciated.

I'm a QS for several large contractors in the limerick region (and to get electrical subbies to come back with prices is hard as they are ao busy) and I also price electrical work for 3 large Electrical firms and they are all flat out.

Thanks for the response Cronin, good to know.
It might be time to contact the bigger electrical contractors in Dublin and see can I get any subbie with them.. Or maybe they will have some direct employment available. Cheers.

Would you even do jobs on the side, if you know any other trades people i.e. Builders or Plumbers who need and Electrician to complete Electrical work. A brother of mine works with a lot of trades people around the Midlands securing them odd jobs in return for any Electrical work that may need to be done along side his own full time job.
