Anyone used escapes.ie?

Just looking up for a few days away in Ireland for next week and I came across escapes.ie. it had an offer of 3 nights b&b and dinner on 2 evenings in Killarney for the unreal price of €185 as long as we check in on a Monday, which suits us just fine. Only when I went to book it asked straightaway for the payment with no mention of picking which dates we wanted to go. There was no phone number to ring so I tweeted the page but I never heard back. So my question is, is this a scam or has anyone had dealings with this website before?

You buy the 'voucher' from escapes.ie and then ring the hotel with the voucher code giving them the dates you wish to attend and they book you in! (as long as it's on days/dates specified in the T&C's on the voucher and within expiry date - so you don't have to use it straight away!) It's the way it works for all those type of sites :)

One thing i would say is that you maybe ring the hotel directly first before you buy the voucher to ensure they have the dates available that you intend to arrive seeing as you wish to use it quite soon after purchasing! (let them know you're thinking of buying a voucher from this site incase they have certain rooms allocated)

    Enjoy!

2 different friends of mine tried booking thru this site but couldnt pick dates, both rang the hotels directly and mentioned the deals on escapes and both hotels offered them the same deal without goin through escapes and booking directly so well worth ringing the hotel and mentioning the deal u never know u mite be lucky aswell

Thanks for the replies everybody! We bought the 'voucher' from the website and then booked with the hotel after checking before hand that the dates were available. We're currently sitting back having a drink in the hotel waiting for our dinner!
