Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Just wondering what they're like these days, havent looked in about 2 years, Ill have a new phone soon with one of those Bluetooth joypads so no worries on the controls front.

Im itching to do a few replays of games like Gunstar Heroes on Genesis and a few of the SNES RPGs and a phone plus joypad could be perfect for me as long as the emulators are good, I do need them to be near perfect though, any artifacts or glitches totally ruins emulation for me.

Just interested in SNES/NES/Genesis and a bit of MAME at the minute, anyone using Android as their main platform?

Main platform? Everyone in here uses the original hardware as their main platform :D

I haven't really tried it yet but did just order one of those NES bluetooth controller thingies so will be giving it a go soon enough. Hoping the quality is up there. A few of the lads here have been telling me it is.

Pfft, you know what I mean, cant bring a CRT and a SNES on a Citylink can you? I wonder if all those Android boxes that seem to be everywhere these days is driving demand and development?

A Megadrive is about €30 on Adverts these days with a game or two.
Best place to start, and continue for that matter, plus it's an easy mod later on for region free and fullscreen/fullspeed gaming.
Also, the power supply is a magic pill that seems to power tons of retro consoles, for some reason.

A GBA SP or a GB Pocket is a good purchase as well.

PSP and PSX games on an Android emulator?

Wow that looks really good, I think my next phone will have to have a 64 GB SD card and a serious gaming collection onboard...

I have a SNES and a Mega Drive in the attic of my parents house because I dont have the space for a CRT tv atm, and I got rid of the SP years ago after playing it to death, all the games worth playing are on the EZ-Flash in my DS anyway.

I do at the mo as I'm console-less aside from my psvita. I have the 2012 model Nexus 7 with a PS3 pad connected via bluetooth. It's not ideal but it works just fine for me. PS1 games run pretty well on it with some minor issues the odd time, 16bit and Mame stuff works perfectly, unless you're super picky about emulation it's grand for gaming on the go.

What device are you going to be playing on? i have a few mame games on my phone (galaxy s3, still hanging in there) that I can play on the subway for a quick bash here and there, stuff like Bubble Bobble, a few shmups, Wrestlefest etc. Anything I can play for a few mins here and there.

Might be worth getting an iCade for that.
Afaik a lot of games and emulators support it, even on Android,
