    Hi,

Could anyone recommend a good introduction to AI? A general book would be good, but something which covers turn & tile based games and with code samples in c# or java would be better. Cheers!

Generally speaking, I'd definitely recommend this one for starters: Programming Game AI by Example.

Languages wise, it's mainly presented in C++ and later via PyGame. It's still very understandable though so I wouldn't worry too much about it. In terms of cover & tile based examples, unfortunately there's nothing there specifically on the subject as far as I remember. It mainly covers the core concepts of state based architectures, steering behaviours, path planning and Hierarchical Goal Based Agents.

AIGameDev is an excellent online resource though so make sure and look through articles there for info on what you need specifically.
