I've recently moved in to a new house. I have a few things to hang up. Im going to need a drill and may as well get a good one. Anyone got any recommendations for a particular brand?

On a side note, since moving in to the house I've now realised that a bit of DIY expertise is required to maintain the house. Are there any other essentials tools I should get?

prob best to pick em up as you go - but it wont be long before you need a screwdriver or a hammer.

A Wood Saw, Spirit level. Selection of Screw Drivers. small step ladder. Selection of Drill bits. Tool Box to keep them together. As said the rest can be purchased as needed.

I bought this Bosch a couple of years back from Homebase - got it on one of those 20% off weekends, and I must say its a great tool.

I had not used it in about a year and lifted it the other day and still was able to drill 10 holes in the inside of the garage wall, great battery on it.

For hanging up pictures or mirrors I would get the tacker from woodies, was on dragons den, once it's under 10kg you'll be fine, no drilling required.

If you have other DIY things to do, I would recommend getting a twin drill set with a impact driver these drills are great for putting together flats pack, decking anything that needs screwing, try b&q as much as I hate their expensive prices they have good deals on their drills from time to time
