Rolling Employment Contract Notice Term

    Hi there,

I was wondering if somebody could help, I am working for company, with what was originally a 6 month contract via Hayes recruitment. I am into my 10th month now, as the last 3 -4 months have been 1 month rolling contracts. I have a interview for another job in the coming days and I anticipate they will ask me how soon I can start.

My current monthly iteration with my current job will end in 15 days Fri 26/09, so would I have to see out this month, or is there a minimum notice period I have to give them.
    Also we are paid weekly.

    Thanks

    :o

Your payment cycle has nothing to do with the notice period (though it's a popular myth that payment cycle length = notice period length); in your case (short of having anything else in your contract) the normal notice period would be a week.
