I'm trying to book a Lodge in Cambrils and avoiding the "entertainment area" as per travel advice websites. The problem is I cannot locate where in the park the entertainment at night is.

We are looking at the Mediterranea section which is only open a year or so, so I can't find up to date advice. I've emailed the park but have got no answer.

    Can anybody here advise me?

The entertainment area is bythe main pool. Abiut 1/3 of the way down the map. The apartments you are looking at come close on the top of the map. Book as far down towards the main gate as you can. It's a great spot we have been the last 2 years and stayed in the aloha bungalows.

Thanks for that. It looks great. I'm looking at the start of July - have you ever been there at that time of year?

We've always been the start of July so wouldn't know what its like early June. Imagine its a bit quieter but dont know about activities or entertainment.

Gah - actually it's start of July were going! I got confused - probably because I'm trying to find Ryanair flights on another window!

Is the weather warm enough to sunbathe and tan?

I stayed there in early September 2013 and the first week of June 2014.

June was considerably warmer (34 degrees) and busier.

The majority of families staying there in September were Spanish.

In june, due to the kids being off School, practically every family was Irish.

I stayed in the Bonita Apts both times and would favour that accomodation again.

Start of July the weather is perfect. Although we did have a little rain two mornings this year and a bit breezy two days. That's very unusual though.
Get your flights into reus as it's just 15 mins away.

I'm looking at Reus flights now but Ryanair say they are all sold out.

Keep checking the site. They are still only loading next year's schedule. We booked our flights last week. No way they are even close to being sold out.

Sorry to jump in on this thread but I am keen to book the Cambrils resort myself for next June it will be our first venture abroad the the 3 kids they will be 6,5 and 3. Would it be a place you guys would recommend? My main worry is the location it seems to be quite far from the beach, Cambrils and Salou when I look at the map. Just wondered would there be enough to entertain us for the 7 nights within the resort I always liked to walk around the shops and marina in the evening I wonder would I miss that. Would the sister resort in Salou be a better option although it doesn't look as nice

I would definitely recommend it. Going back for 3rd year in a row. Its 1KM from the nearest beach downhill slightly. There is a free bus that runs regularly from the park to the beach in Salou. took it once and its very handy.
Cambrills is about 10 euro each way in a taxi. Its around 5K so probably not walkable with 3 small kids. There is a bus from the bottom of the road but we got a taxi the couple of times we went. Would recommend going up some evening though nice marina and some usual tourist shops. Distance wise Salou is the same.
There is planty to do on site though. Evening entertainment every evening except Mondays. Its a bit cheesy but we found it fine. Sit out and enjoy a drink with it in the background.
Loads for the kids to do. For small ones 2 kids clubs per day with arts and crafts and the like. Games for the older kids.
The sister resort is right beside it just nearer the beach. They actually back onto each other corner to corner. Never been but apparently very similar just geared more towards mobile homes and camp pitches.

I Stayed in Best Cap Salou at the end of August which might be suitable for you with young kids!

The Hotel is right on the beach . Loads of kids activities in the immediate area and the local road train will get you into Salou or Portaventura in about 15 mins.

Cap Salou is about 2km outside Salou and is quiet . Please note that it is a little hilly in places . Google maps is a great way to view the area and see the surroundings to help make a descision.

There are other nice hotels in cap salou such as H10 Meditteranean!
