About to dip my toes into SPD-SL (pardon the pun) and looking for a low cost starter shoe.

    See two options:
    DHB R1.0 from wiggle
    OR
    Rexton from Merlin

Any recommendation between the two or other I have missed (am also trawling ebay at the mo)

If you look at my "Clearout" ad from yesterday , I've got a pair of DHB shoes size 45 and a pair of Shimano SPD pedals , both as new for sale . Might be suitable ?

I've been using that Wiggle shoe since I got my first road bike last year and find them grand. I'll upgrade to something lighter and stiffer at some stage but as an entry level shoe I'd recommend them. I find them very comfortable if a bit heavy.

I found these a great starter shoe for the price. I actually still have them.
