So 12 years ago this week I had LASIK for shortsightedness. My eyes then were 4.5 and 4.25. I think.
    I've loved been spec free.
I've noticed them deteriorating a bit at distance had them tested for the first time in 12 years at weekend. Yep, I need glasses, mostly for driving.
Am a bit disappointed. I don't want to wear specs again.
So question, any one here had LASIK a second time, a touch up if you like. I was done in Blackrock clinic.
    Thanks.

Not had it enhanced....but am pretty sure I will be in the near future. I had it done 6 years ago and there's been a huge regression in the last year and a half. Really disappointed. Have you made any decisions since about getting it done again?

I haven't. It'll cost over a hundred just for a consult with the surgeon who did them to even establish if my eyes are suitable a second time round.
    Like you, am disappointed.

Sheesh....bit steep. You'd think there would be some sort of relief given to a previous patient. Might be worth your while going to one of the other clinics that offer the free consultations. No need to actually book with them but just to see if you're suitable for a top up. If you're not suitable at least you've saved yourself €100

Actually, that is a good idea. I think I'll do that. I'll check back in when I have.

I'm in the same boat - had eyes done for astigmatism and a tiny bit of short sightedness about 10 years ago, also in the Blackrock Clinic (not a notion which procedure it was though). Best thing I ever did.

It feels sometimes like my sight is slipping a bit and I also wondered if a "top-up" was possible.

    Please keep us updated!

Went back to the clinic and I've decided to go for a top up in the new year, and I've got some glasses to keep me going in the mean time as at the moment I'm struggling pretty badly. I'll report back!
