    HI all,
I've just received planning permission and my intended heating plans for my house have been thrown into disarray by my architect. My plans were to have solar panels, oil boiler and a wood burning stove with backboiler as my heating system. This set-up would really suit my circumstances as I have easy access to timber. My architect however says that this is not possible to meet part L or fit in with the deap calculations. Have been really thrown by this as hes suggesting an air to water system which I haven't read good things about and would change my plans drastically with regard to rads etc. Is it impossible to have the oil etc. with any small changes additions rather than massive change? Would airtightness and mvhr help?

Was wondering about peoples thought on this? Any advice/help would be greatly appreciated.

House is 2746 sq.ft. 2 story square block with conservatory, 150mm bead insulated cavity, 50mm internal insulation.. 400mm in ceiling, 100mm in floor
