Hi,

would anyone be able to do a look up for me ahead of a possible trip to Dublin in October?

Would like to confirm where the birth of Stuart Dunbar, born 1959, was registered. Believe Dublin but not 100%. Middle name Alistair.

I've found a birth notice in the Irish times 29 July 1959, p 12 which might be him:
Dunbar - July 26 1959 at Stella Maris Nursing Home, to Helen (nee Purnell) wife of Robert Arthur Dunbar, 27 Nutgrove Park, Clonskeagh, a son.

Marriage notice for Robert and Helen:
IT 23 Feb 1952p 17
Dunbar and Purnell – February 9 1952 at St Andrew’s Church, Suffolk Street Arther Robert, son of the late Mr and Mrs Dunbar of Hollybank estate Ranelagh to Helen Sylvia, daughter of Mr and Mrs H.G, Purnell of 74 Ranelagh, Dublin

Arthur Robert's father Robert Dunbar was listed at 57 Hollybank Avenue in the 199-40 Dublin City Electoral Roll

Robert Dunbar died 23 Feb 1991; his son Stuart was mentioned in the death notice in the Irish Times 25 Feb 1991, p26

That Robert and Helen appear to have married in Dublin South in 1952 as per Family Search.

wow, that was fast. 26th July 1959 is the birth date I'm working on so this looks like the right track. There is at least 1 sister (Sandra I think) possibly another. I wasn't sure of the parents names (had a few in the mix that it could have been) so this is really great info. Thank you.

The sisters were

Jennifer married Raymond Blake Knox & who died 21 Nov 1999;

Glynis who married someone called Axel Kirby about 1977

It looks like Stuart married Sandra as she is described as his daughter in law in Robert's death notice in the Irish times.

You may already have it but a Robert A Dunbar was born in 1928 if that helps.

Yes, married to Sandra Stenberg.

Would you have the date of Robert's death?

Robert died 23 Feb 1991, buried in Enniskerry churchyard.
