I'm posting this query on behalf of a friend.

She has been living abroad for a number of years working as an SQL Administrator with 10 years experience in the role. She has recently moved back to Ireland and ideally would like to work in the same area.

Now some might say 10 years experience is just as good as a qualification but, as we all know, the qualification is needed just to get the interview (She does have a masters in psychoanalysis but that probably won't help :D)

Would anyone know what is the basic qualification required for an SQL Admin? Thanks for the help.

    Thanks for the replies lads.

Quick bit of internetting shows the Oracle 11g training seems to be the cheaper option compared to Microsoft certification.
