    Hi there,

I'll list a few clubs that might interest you.

There are two MMA clubs, Sharkbait MMA and Pankration Academy, located near enough to UL. Their respective websites are : http://www.pankrationkickboxingacademy.com/ and for Sharkbait : https://www.facebook.com/sharkbait.mma.9 .

As for striking, there are loads of boxing clubs in the city, and there is a boxing club open to students in UL. You can look up the boxing club on the UL clubs and socs page.

There is a MT gym, and a more classical KB'ing gym in town. EireMuaySiam train in Pery Square, near the bus station. Link : https://www.facebook.com/eiremuaysiam?fref=ts . Limerick Combat gym do more classical KB'ing. Link : http://www.limerickcombatgym.com/ .

If you are interested in MMA, you probably want grappling too, right ? Limerick BJJ Academy have a top class blackbelt instructor, Fergal Quinlan, and they are right in the city centre. Beginners course starts in September, and regular classes if you are already experienced. Link : http://limerickbjjacademy.com/

There is also judo, run by excellent black belt James (Jim) Bourke . They train in the same facilities as Sharkbait MMA, so you could check those two out with the same visit. Link to that page is : https://www.facebook.com/groups/LimerickJudo/?fref=ts

Shoot me a message if you have any questions, I train in the BJJ academy myself but am reasonably familiar with the above listed.

All good sh!t above. As for myself I train in the Limerick BJJ, Sharkbait MMA andI do the odd Judo class with Jim Bourke (he is based in the same gym as Sharkbait MMA). I've done a few classes with Our Lady of Lourdes Bxing club too. So send me a PM if you want more info...

And if it's just Martial Arts in general you want, UL has a taekwondo club, a shotokan karate club and a krav maga club. Again, check out http://ulwolves.ie/clubssocs/ for more info on those guys.

There is a boxing club in UL yes. Was thinking of heading to a few sessions there myself. Well I'd personally recommend the MMA at Sharkbait and then for Muay Thai your bestis the gyn in Pery Square. I won't be passing by UL and anways I cycle.... it might be tough getting a lift out to those gyms not everyone who goes to them is necessarily from UL.

Have you a bike? You can cycle to Sharkbait in about 12 mins from UL.
