I have small leak from threads on my kerosene tank. Not sure excactly where.
Have used ptfe tape in past, but got leak few weeks later as it not oil resistant.

    What would you recommend?

PTFE should work fine and is resistant to almost everything AFAIK (See here). Maybe you didn't use enough?

Are you putting PTFE over the threads that screw into oil tank or putting it on a thread that receives a nut over a pipe?
