what are susi asking you for....

if it is for confirmation of address you can get this from DIT as long as your address with them was your Dublin address.

My bf is in a similar boat. They would not accept anything less than utility bills and/or a lease. He had to reapply as a dependent on his parents (he's 30 and hasn't lived with them for over 12 years) and we're still waiting to hear back from them as we speak. They are very, very rigid about this.

They are looking for evidence of Independent Residence.

You say that you could not provide it last year.
But if you started your course last year, you still need to provide the evidence to the previous year.
The October before you entered further or higher education, this is called your point of entry or re-entry and the required documents always go back to this for independent residence.

For example, if you entered higher education in 13/14, Independent Residence is required from October 2012. If you did not provide this and you entered 2nd year for 14/15, your Independent Residence is still required from October 2012.

You can only change this when you change from further education to higher education or take a break from education/studies of 3 years or more and are over the age of 23 years of the year you enter or re-enter to education.
