Like they're actually educated on it? Why can't people just be a master of one thing? I realise I'm basically questioning how society is run now, but yeah it does make me mad how many people talk absolute bollocks.

You are in the right place, fellow traveller - you just need to look upon AH as an extreme kind of aversion therapy.

Not only that but everyone blames other people for everything.

Knowledge is rarely if ever absolute.

I sometimes like to weigh in on topics that I wouldn't consider myself very well informed about.

I do it to bounce my ideas off other people, to see a) if my opinion is shared by others or b) if my opinion is misinformed or straight out wrong, in which place somebody will usually teach me something new.

    They're only opinions.

I dont have an opinion on lots of things.

It was so much easier to blame it on Them. It was bleakly depressing to think that They were Us. If it was Them, then nothing was anyone's fault. If it was us, what did that make Me? After all, I'm one of Us. I must be. I've certainly never thought of myself as one of Them. No one ever thinks of themselves as one of Them. We're always one of Us. It's Them that do the bad things.

"I have no opinion on the matter" is more annoying.

Most people have always had opinions on most stuff. However, with the invention of the internet and the likes of Twitter, Tumblr and Boards.ie, it means everybody now has a platform from which to spew forth those opinions. No matter how ignorant or stupid you are, you have somewhere to speak your mind.
"I have no opinion on the matter" is more annoying.

Funnily enough the subjects that I am very educated on such as physics or maths (third level) I have less of an opinion on in public. They are not subjects that tend to come up a lot I know. But still if they do I tend to go mute. I think this is for two reasons. It's tough to really have an intelligent discussion if the other person does not have a good grounding in that subject. Or when I say something they look at me as if I have just produced the sermon on the mount.

I tend to be most kneejerkingly opinionated on things that I know less about. It's easier when you know less. The more you know about a subject the less you realize you actually know about it.

That's one of them. Here's the other one:

You are the type of what the age is searching for, and what it is afraid it has found. I am so glad that you have never done anything, never carved a statue, or painted a picture, or produced anything outside of yourself! Life has been your art. You have set yourself to music. Your days are your sonnets.
