a mate of mine just bought a new cybershot with a 63x optical zoom and this was the result with a handheld shot (no tripod and not resting it on anything). :eek:

Thought I was onto a winner, went into liffey valley, she entered the number into the till it came up as 16mp thought I was gonna get the newer version but it was the one linked that came out might be worth a try for someone in another store

yep, that's the one!

he checked google maps and it's almost 600m between where he took the pic and that house, so considering the distance and that it was shot from the hip, the image stabilisation must be very good on it to get a pic that clear.

Seen that one evening maybe 8-16 mths ago glanced at the moon and seen big ole 2012 type impact spark type come off it, heard later something hit it.

...x63 pure optical is totally paparazzi territory, just stick it on a dronechopper over the Hollywood hills, and call up hello magazine later...
