Do you have an old, unused Android phone at home?

This is a weird one but I have an idea for an app. Basically the app runs at home, and needs to function on an android phone that is not the user's primary phone. (idea is top secret, kind of a niche thing, but when I release it I'll come back here and update :pac:)

So I'd really appreciate it if you could take the poll and let me know basically if you have an old android phone that still works in a drawer somewhere.

I'm not sure if people are more likely to trade in their old phones and so basically would not keep a spare -- because if the majority of people do not have an old android phone knocking about then my idea is useless :)

    Thanks!

Would a tablet primarily used in the home work?

Pretty sure I have a few knocking around.

Have a couple knocking around. Mine are of the crappy end of the spectrum and spec wise they are poor so hopefully your app doesn't expect much from the phone. I'd imagine most who have phones knocking around will be in a similar position.

Good luck with what ever it is.

Have one or two here too. As mentioned above, would the app work on a tablet as my tablet never leaves the house.

Well this may intrigue even more :D A tablet will do but only under certain circumstances and it wouldn't be as good as a phone - a Nexus 7 would do for example. The app will not require anything intensive so I'm targeting the super old Android Froyo and above I reckon.

I have a Galaxy Note with smashed screen. Not sure if you can use that with HDMI out or whatever..

Smashed screens are fine actually, as long as you can open an app with it
