    Hi,

Does anybody know if the sister of mercy industrial schools kept any type records of kids put into their care in the early 1900's. I have traced three relatives that were sent to the school in Sligo

The Sisters of Mercy in Dublin should have all records for the students they cared for in Industrial Schools.
The Department of Education also has records of these children.
    Good Luck!

The lady I dealt with in the DOE was Mary Halligan, and she is in the 'Freedom Of Information Section - Residential Institutions Redress Unit.' Her number is (090)648-4051 and her email is mary_halligan@education.gov.ie

    I found her quite helpful.
