Can someone please explain this to me! My plumber has just informed me that because I want a bowl and a half sink that I'll have little or no hot water in my kitchen sink!! Can someone please explain what he's on about as I don't really get it! Other people have them in their kitchens why can't I have the same? Thanks in advance x

First off Mono chrome means one colour, do you mean mono block? A mono block tap is a mixer tap for a single mounting hole.

The style of sink has no bearing on the level of hot water. I think you may have not understood what the plumber was saying to you. It is most likely he was talking about the type of tap you are planning to use. You possibly have a tap which is designed for high pressure (1bar) but the norm for an Irish home is low pressure (.2 to .5 bar) so the performance of the high pressure tap would be awful, which make's sense of the statement about little or no hot water.
