Just wondering what it's like to commute to Tuam from Galway for a 8.30am start and then leaving Tuam at 5.30pm to head back to Galway?

AA Routeplanner has it as a 30min or so drive from the city centre but obviously that wouldn't take in traffic.

The problem with county Galway is that the people that live in the country work in the city and the people that live in the city end up working in the country. The majority of the traffic is heading towards galway in the morning and heading out in the evening so it shouldn't slow you down too much, the problem is you have a solid line of traffic going into galway making overtaking slow drivers going towards Tuam next to impossible, so you're at the mercy of the slowest driver on the road.

30 minutes is a best case scenario on a clear road, 45 minutes is more likely.

I leave Galway at 8am and arrive in Tuam at 8.30am (Terryland so no inner city traffic light jams)
I leave Tuam at 5pm and arrive in Galway at approx 5.45pm
