Looking for some advice, I changed the hard drive in my old pro to a SSD and I'm now trying to load it up with an OS but I can't find the InstallEDD.dmg file needed for Lion, any ideas?

    Thanks

Any reason why you're going for Lion and not Mavericks?

Easiest answer would be to torrent it. Entirely legal if you already had Lion installed.

My old macbook had lion installed on it before the hard drive failed so I presumed I'd have to start of by putting Lion back on the new hard drive, is this not the case? I created a USB bootable drive with Mavericks on it but couldn't get it to work.

You should be able to install any of the recent OSes unless you have a really old Mac. Did you follow the tutorials for creating a bootable USB drive?

Yep I followed a tutorial that used DiskMakerX and successfully made the USB drive but when I put it into my macbook nothing was showing up?

Weird. I've never had any problems doing it through Disk Utility:
