Very good price for what appears to be an excellent speaker. I'll be making a detour on the way home to see if I can get one....

Got one yesterday, very impressed with the sound for such a small speaker, thanks OP

It ends up at pretty much the same price from amazon and it won't ship until the 11th.

Thanks OP picked up a white one in store (Mahon Point, Cork) on Friday @ €64.99.
Great sound, need to keep it very close to the lowest volume level to prevent blowing the house with sound.

Hey, wondering if anyone has had the same problem as me. I purchased one recently, works great with the phone via bluetooth. However, I am having issues with connecting to the bluetooth on the laptop, (laptop speakers are poor). It will find the device but it wont install/find the drivers to allow them to connect.

I have tried the typical troubleshooting tips but to no avail. This seems to be an issue for other folk on the net aswell. Have any of yee come across the same problem?

    Thanks

I've had the same problem with my Lenovo laptop. Can see the device and connect but can't see the Flip as an audio device so can't play audio to it. I didn't pursue it as it wasn't what I wanted the speaker for, but I might have to look into it again.

With regard to your Bt issue, as far as I know, there are 2 different types of BT (maybe more) the one that streams music is A2DP, you need to check if the Bt chip in your laptop is A2DP compatible, if not then it will not stream music and will only be used for transferring data.

Hope this shines some light on the issue.

It apparently supports A2DP, just not very well.

Anyone know if it automatically connects to your phone via bluetooth once it is on or if you have to manually go and connect it in the settings on the Iphone?. Have a LG soundbar and it doesn't connect automatically, yet a cheap bluetooth speaker I have does.

yes, I had to play around with mY settings on the laptop so that it treated the jflip as a speaker not something else.If you get me.
    works grand now

Logitech's equivalent speaker (they "could be cousins" acc. to CNET) is £45 here. Plenty of Logitech vouchers knocking around as well as free express delivery - I ordered this speaker on a Thursday last month and it got here from the Netherlands on the Friday.

Picked up one of these yesterday and I'm really happy with it, great sound from such a small device.

Paid something like £63/€90 for this a while back and it's worth every penny and then some!

It's a great little device, used nearly daily.

Some have said the battery isn't great on it which I'd agree with somewhat but I have one of those portable power packs so it's handy enough to just connect it to that and keep the music going! :pac:

i have mine about 10 months and love it! my new monitor is meant to have built in speakers but they are useless so i use this instead now, i could do with a second one!

    No play/pause, fwd/rev button? That's a deal killer.

I don't fancy the idea of mucking with my phone every time I want to pause or forward to the next track.

    Yeah, that's so inconvenient

You don't have to sit on top of the speaker to hear it, the idea being that the phone acts as a "remote control" when you want to change track/album/whatever, because you're more than arm's length away from the speaker.

I'm sure plenty of people would be closer to the speaker than the device playing music. They might have their tablet playing music in the living room and the speaker with them in the kitchen or something.

Just to chime in on this little speaker! It's wonderful, absolutely love it! Would have paid double for it and still be happy with it.
