    Just hit the quote button, then delete the bits that you don't want to quote.

    AW rite tried that before and it wasn't coming up framed it was just coming up as part of my post, if you get my meaning. Thanks anyway folks.

    The general idea is to quote only the bits to which you're replying, with all necessary context. Don't change anything in the bits you're quoting, but it isn't "editing" to leave out whole paragraphs in the quoted post that have no bearing on your post.
