Hey, I'm about to apply for the age card but could do with some advice. It asks for a station. Do I put down my local station which is empty 99.9% of the time or a nearby station that actually services the town?

Are you in Dublin? If so, put down either 98fm or Fm104. If you use Spin 1038, they will know you are quite young.

Lyric FM is your best bet.

Sign your name as Senior Detective Conor, they'll send the card out no bother.

    I'd have thought the same.

Maybe try to find a more appropriate place to ask OP, AH isn't good for serious answers.

It doesn't really matter to be honest. When I got mine the only reason that you put down the name of the station was so they knew which station you had handed the form into. You could put down your local station on the form and mention that this is an unmanned station and then put down your next nearest station as well.

Just rang my brother - a Garda. He said irrespective if where you hand it in, mark your local station. I got the impression they weren't overly pushed once a Garda could vouch for signing it.
