    Hey guys,

Heading to college in a few weeks and really need some new clothes. I'm not pushed on looking like your typical college guy or any of that, I just need some advice on where my money is best spent.

I'll be shopping in Dublin City Centre, have no card to shop online unfortunately. Looking online my money is nearly gone just getting a jacket and a pair of runners :O

I've a load of shirts and winter jackets, but been alternating between the same three pairs of jeans and 10 t-shirts for about a year and a half. So I need a good pair or two of jeans and a load of t-shirts, a casual jacket or hoody and one pair of runners that wont fall apart. Is this possible on my budget?

I think online is your only way to go if you want something decent. Can you not borrow a mates card and give him the money
As for Tshirts you can always pick up cheap ones but as its coming into the colder months you could very well have them covered up with a jumper or hoody or something so no need to get expensive Tshirts

That being said just go aroud all the usual (River island, Topshop, Pull and Bear, Bershka, H&M)
Dont forget about Penneys and Forever 21 too

A few suggestions for some basic items that should go with most things.

http://www.mandmdirect.ie/ is your saviour trust me. I am 20 years old myself and regularly buy stuff from them. Just got a parcel delivered today with stuff to the value of 180 euro. Got three pairs of shoes, two hoodies, pair of jeans, two tshirts and a shirt there. All "big name" brands (Adidas, Jack and Jones etc.) and for that much money for the amount of clothes I'm laughing. Now tbh 200 euro won't get you that far in "real life shops".

Honestly get yourself a bank card and use that or if not transfer funds to paypal and use that to pay for stuff. I've only a Visa Debit myself and if that's not accepted paypal always will be. Trust me as a student it doesn't make sense to but stuff in stores. I got a pair of Jack and Jones chinos online for €20 and I found the exact same pair in the store listed for €60. Asos is another decent online store but M&M are definitely my favourite in terms of price, range, quality and overall efficiency.

Nice one for the replies lads. Will be getting a card in a little while to set up for the grant and all that, just wanted to get a few bits before then. Think I'll just give my folks the cash and use one of their cards!
