Favourite salad bars?

    Any tips? Up until recently I had been living off the salad bar in Dunnes but last Monday they replaced everything with fancy looking stuff that lacks in taste and wholesomeness!

    From my experience (99% supermarkets) dunnes were the only good salad bar I had encountered apart from one super value, in clonakilty, cork(too far!). I'm probably looking in the wrong areas though, would appreciate being driven in the right direction! (I should probably DIY keep in mind I'm a useless man, that's useless in the kitchen among other household rooms! :pac:)

    I love Blazin' Salads but its too much €€€! I generally hate supermarket salad bars, loads of coleslaw and stodgy spud salad.

    In Cork, you are spoilt for choice!

    That is on princes street in the city center, and they are at the farmers markets:
    mahon - thursday
    wilton - tuesday
    and douglas -saturday

    The sandwich stall in the english market does excellent salads. Had a brocolli and feta salad, and the chilli butterbean salad today. Yummo!

    The olive stall (english market) also does great salads. My favs are the good green tossed salad, and a chickpea salad with semi sundried tomatos.
