so that means their normal mark up is????

In fairness, 20% off their paint, Dulux for example, would make them cheaper than any other source which the normal joe would be likely to avail of. Plus the fact that they seem to be monthly occurrences at this stage. Haven't seen "on top of existing offers" wording before though.

More than 20%, I'd imagine. Slow moving stock often has very high markups in every business. There's a very few exclusions there - a drill, a shower and the party stuff, they're obviously well below that.

There are near permanent offers in Woodies for 10% to 20% off; e.g. the over 60s club has 10% off every Thursday; Intel staff get 10% in Lucan permanently, there's usually time-limited vouchers in the booklet you get with One4All vouchers, they've something pretty much every bank holiday weekend, any time there's a big DIY/home interiors show etc etc etc. If you need something non-urgently its best to just wait a little while.

They already have a lot of the Dulux range on special offer (€20 off 5lt). If I get another 20% off on top of that I will be very happy indeed and I would certainly consider that a bargain.

It doesn't say anything about a coupon on the website.

The over 60's discount isn't a thing anymore. Was there with my last landlord he was buying paint for the apartment and they told him it's not an offer anymore

Signs are still up in Lucan. Its only a specific day of the week.

B&Q have their equivalent anyway if things are the same price without in both.

Thursday, the day we were there! They might not do it in all stores!

Had a flyer for Chadwicks (same firm as Woodies) through the door and a lot of items are cheaper in their one day sale tomorrow than even with the 20% off in Woodies. May be worth dropping in if both are an option and you're looking for non-homewares.

Thanks. I'm looking to get some paint. I don't think Chadwicks sell it but I'm open to correction on that.

5l of Dulux Soft Sheen works out at 22.40 euro ,that less than half the price in most stores.
