What's the safest payment method for Ali Express? It doesn't have paypal so I'm reluctant to use my visa card.

I use the Visa debit card and never have any problems

What's the purpose of using Paypal then with other sites?

    An extra layer of protection.

I certainly wouldnt use a debit card for an online transaction.

There's no paypal method on aliexpress anyway. :p

Pay by card or buy somewhere else. :)

The good thing about Aliexpress is that they take the funds from your card and only pass it on to the seller when you select the option to say you received the goods. Never had an issue using my card on it.

I'm not that long using ali express but I've never had any problems so far....They use an escrow service so they take the money from your card but only pass it to the seller once you confirm the items are received....I've got two refunds from sellers and also and no problems at all....

Thanks everyone. It seems safe enough then if Ali Express are acting as the middle man when releasing the funds. That means the seller shouldn't have access to your card details.

Exactly they shouldn't have access to card and when I got refunded one was done through ali express and the other was done into my paypal account....

So if i order a phone and its not delivered in the estimated delivery time say 15-30 days, how do i get a refund?

It all depends on the delivery method. If its via China Air Mail, be prepared to wait at least 6-8 weeks. If its via DHL , you should get it in 6-8 days. Estimated delivery time is just that, an estimation. And usually the sellers say 15-30 working days.

Just for info, you should check the price you get at Aliexpress with other sites like geekbuying.com, pandawill.com. If its an android phone there's a thread in the Android Forum specifically for Chinese phones.

Even more so when he's far from an expert going by previous posts I've noticed.
