The Invisible War (Doc about rape in US military)

    This is a distressing but important documentary that everyone should see, concerning rape in the US military. It's available to watch on US Netflix (or on YouTube, though I'm not sure what the policy is on sharing YouTube videos here...)

    There are some truly shocking statistics.

    * 15% of Navy recruits have either committed or attempted rape before applying.
    * 20% of female veterans have been sexually assaulted.
    * In 2010, the Department of Defence published its annual report on sexual assault in the military. Out of 3,223 perpetrators, only 175 end up serving any time in prison.

    Many of the women interviewed in the film have attempted suicide, and have had their careers ruined as a result of being assaulted. It's exasperating.
