    Is there anything like parcel motel but in the US

    depends on value of goods.

    you can get them marked as a gift prior to departure to dublin

    I'm registered with them because they have the best interactive website. Always use USPS if possible as the customs man doesn't seem too interested in low value items whereas a courier will always charge duty.
    All the shipping agencies in the US are a bit robotic - they seem to work entirely off the website and its hard to get an answer to a query out of them.
