Just doing up an old bike with the 650A wheel/tyre size. I'm looking to see if anyone knows where tyres can be bought for these?

Decathlon stock 650c while the OP mentioned 650a. These are different sizes.

Sheldon Brown has the details. It appears that it's equivalent to the old 26x1"3/8 which is likely to be hard enough to get. As 650a is a french size, maybe you'd have better luck searching french sites.

650A and 26 x 1 3/8" are the same thing - 590 x 37. You may not find lightweight high quality wheels or tyres in this size but there is certainly no problem getting something serviceable. Any number of UK ebay sellers, SJS cycles for a start.

If some smart Alec in a bike shop tries to tell you these are obsolete, find a better bike shop.

Get alloy rims unless you want a period look for an old roadster.

YEah thanks guys. Yeah 650A slghtly less common size. Its a real old Puch 3 speed bike. Gonna use it for commuting I hope. $ miles or so each way.

Need to service the front hub, the bearings are shot but otherwise a pretty nice bike. They are built to last.
