    We have two kittens and they were fascinated by this dude.

    I'm assuming it's a caterpillar. It looked a bit weird to me at first, but I wouldn't see many caterpillars, so I wouldn't know.

    Would be interested to know what it is / will turn into.

    The bit on the tail is raised. Maybe to make it look more menacing to possible predators, like the fake eyes?
