Would like to hear did anyone traveled or lived in this country,as many posts seems always the same form AU,CAD,to Asia or some other east destinations. From what i gathered the pros are Panama is close to US and S.America also other interesting countries.local currency is US $ which is a lot of bang when converting from EUR or GBP.cost of living renting is well below similar developed countries, like one could rent for around 400-600$ a month nice apartments.don't know much about food. Also its close to equator-so temps all year long stay within 20c-30c except for high humidity and monsoon seasons that can last good while,so a lot of sweating. That aside they have top medical services, developed transportation system. not much for cultural sight seeing but more of nature and active life style holiday, from surfing to hiking, national parks etc. Visa can be obtained at arrival 3months stay and if one wants to go back 3 days across border and you can go back in. maybe most difficult thing is language although Spanish is first but many learn and speak some English. So any recent travelers to Panama please share, time spent doing stuff, prices, getting around etc. As i wish to travel somewhere exotic at some time, but same places mentioned over and over that are half way across the globe considering costs of travel, prices and yes every place is unique but everyone to them self i guess, just random thoughts here.
