    Hi guys,

Just got accepted for advanced entry to ITT. Have applied to SUSI, but am hoping on getting the BTEA, only applied for the student contribution fees.

Just looking for some help here. The BTEA forms say you must be registered and have a letter from the college saying you're registered full time to apply for BTEA, I've only just accepted my course, I don't even know when registration is. I assume a pack will be sent out to me from what I've seen over on the ITT forum. What do I do regards registration when they want the €2,750 fee there?

I'm just worried because it's already the 2nd of September and surely classes must be starting soon so I want this all sorted out as soon as possible, also worried about how long sorting out the BTEA will take and how I'm supposed to collect my JSA if classes start while they're still processing it all :(

Was in this exact same situation last year in ITT myself but i need some more detail before i can advise you.
    1. What year are you entering
    2. Did you apply for a grant
    3. What course are you entering

Ok as you are going into second year you do not need to register with the first years as far as i know. I entered second year of engineering last year through advanced entry in the same manner you did. After i accepted the offer i went to the college the following day and as i was unsure about the registration process and was sent to the registration office and was sorted out there and then.

I then filled out a form while in the office to request the college to sent me proof of registration for btea which took three days to receive. Once i had this i went to the social welfare and handed in all forms. Was accepted for btea after a week and began to receive my payment into my bank accout the following week. This varies depending on which social welfare office you attend which in my case is bishop square.

If you have applied for a grant of susi to pay your student contribution of €2750 print this off and hand into the registration office and they will not immediately look for fees.
