Hi, I recently bought a laptop without an OS, and want to install Windows. As I'm going into college I can get Windows 8.1 for €60 on MS' site. However on the US site it's 70$ which is less than €60 w/ conversion rate. Should the US version run the same as the Irish version? or do I have to buy from the Irish site? Thanks.

There won't be any difference in the versions in how they run, however, some versions are region locked and won't activate outside that region, it may not be the case with the US version, but perhaps someone else here can provide more insight. If not, I suggest contacting Microsoft just to make sure
