I've been using Continental Sprinter Gatorskins for over a year and find them great. You will get many thousand kms from them with no punctures. I use the 25mm ones with 80psi in front and 90psi in the rear (im 64kg)and they are super comfy and roll great as well. Just got a new one from Bikediscount.de for 36 euro to replace my rear one that finally punctured after circa 8k ! Delivery is 7 euro but you might decide to order something else as well and defray the cost. I ordered an Easton compact handlebar that was on sale for 13 euro , highly recommend it if you like a bar with a shallow drop .

IMO gatorskins are horrible but that just comes down to personal taste and how they roll.

My 3 favorite are (cheaper to most expensive)

    Vittoria Evo SC
    Veloflex Roubaix/Carbon
    FMB Roubaix

FMB while amazing to ride are super delicate and are to be used as a sunny sunday ride tyres. Mine have around 1500kms and few punctures on them and are very near in needing replacing. The liquid latex juice though is doing a great job keeping those punctures sealed :)

The OP asked for middle of the road tubs which is why I recommended the Conti's . I also use the Corsas and agree that they roll better but they would as they have 300tpi as opposed to 180 for the Gatorskins . They are more expensive as well ,don't wear as good and puncture easier. Hard to get in 25mm too .

Sure but why use tubs if you re going to use crap tyres anyway :) the Vittoria are a bit more expensive alright but not so much to make them a luxury item.

I use gatorskin sprinters for racing on and I've never had a problem. Very reliable and grip well
