Trying to find this online and can't
My 3rd licence is up for renewal in October (last time issued with motor tax office) so now I have to go to the NDLS centre this time in person to apply again. I have my fee, expiring licence, ID, cert of failure, application form and medical report to hand in and appt booked. My last licence was for a year only just wondering on a subequent licence how long do you get a licence for on the med report there is a box for 1 year and 3 years for a learner I dont know what the doctor will tick can I get a 3 year one or will I get another year one. Also the fee is difference €25 for one year and €35 for 3 years I don't know what fee to pay them. Maybe I should wait till I get to centre. Also if anyone has been to these centres can they let me know what docs they retain I can show my passport but I need it as I am on holidays 2 days after.

Your cert of failure grants you a two year licence. However the doctor will have to tick 3 years on the form to cover that period. You will also need proof of Ppsn and proof of address if you have moved address since last permit. Passport is only required if permit is lost or damaged. They don't retain your passport. The fee is 35euro for a permit. The fees you are looking at are for full licences. No such thing as a 3 year permit or €25 1 year permit.

Great thanks for that just gives me a bit of leeway to have a two year instead of an annual one. Will get Dr. to tick the 3 yr so
