pixmania v pc world price match ?

This product requires a mains adapter for the UK. Pixmania supplies a free adapter when you buy this product.

So the pixmania one is an EU model, due to economies of scale these are usually cheaper to make and so lower wholesale prices. So even though they do the same job its not comparing like with like, as I guess pcworld will have our plug.

Nothing to stop you asking though, might get something off.

even amazon is cheaper works out at 313 euro

PC World used to own pixmania, but have since sold the company.

It is not an identical model to the one being sold in-store, as it is a grey market product thus it would not be included in there price match

    &

they only price match certain companies: http://www.currys.ie/content/instore-price-promise/926

i know dixons group used to own them but sold them last year to a german company

anyway price promise is rubbish if they only match certain companies
looks liek it will be amazon again
exact same model as far as i know

Don't buy from either shower IMHO. The list of poor experiences with both businesses would have me staying well away.

    Amazon all the way tbh.

I'm sure 95-99% of everyone that shops with them is delighted. It's how you treat people with an issue that should inform you of what type of business they are. I've see both businesses simply ignore people's consumer rights.

I'm not sure how you're saving a fortune either. 99% of electronics bought online are going to have a max of 5% on the price.

That said, go with what you're happy with - it's your money. To be fair to PC World though, why should they have to match different product pricing?

th tv i bought was 900 euro delivered

This, Pixmania are rubbish to deal with, PC world are a rip off. Amazon are painless and fast.

You're not comparing like with like on either of your points.

Online (pixamania v Amazon v Komplett v whoever else) this price is almost always going to be very similar with the only thing to choose between being service. Delivery costs can sometimes be the undoing of some online sites.

EU product with an EU 110/120v, plug and shipped to the retailer on mainland europe is not the same product as a 240v and UK plug, shipped to a wee group of islands. Now I'd always go with the product online, replace the plug and make the saving but DSG (PC World etc.) are perfectly justified in not doing this as they don't have the choice to use the grey import.

pc world in uk is the same price as amazon
free delivery to parcel motel, might go with that

I have never had an issue with pixmania, but never had anything break, but in many other threads people have had trouble.

I have had amazon items break and dealing with them was perfect. Certain items I would pay more for better backup, a camcorder being one such item.

camelcamelcamel shows it was £10 cheaper a few weeks ago

It was a consumer question if PC world/currys would price match
    Why move it
PC world is a bricks and mortar shop last I heard

You had it posted in the consumer issue forum? You are not in dispute with any of the companies mentioned so it's not the right section

Last week bought a Kindle Wifi in PC World Waterford.

Looked for the price match against Argos who were €5 cheaper.

Didn't get the price match because it was not in stock in the Waterford Argos store, nearest in stock was Wexford.

Stock came into Argos on Saturday so went back and got the €5 refund.

They said it had to be in stock within 10 km.
