Bank Loan query

    Hi.

My OH took out a bank loan approx 2 months ago for approx 4k. This was a personal loan to be paid back over 36 mths. She has used the money to buy new equipment which she needs for her line of work.

Last week she was offered a big job opportunity in the UK in her field and she is now considering making the move.

However she's concerned about how the bank might view this or if there might be any repercussions hence I'm here seeking advice.

If she decides to make the move she would still make the monthly repayments of course.

Would the bank be okay with this as long as she can prove she may be emigrating to take up a permanent role?

Or would they be concerned / suspicious seeing as it's really only a matter of weeks since she obtained the loan and now she may be leaving the country?

    Hi sebbplatter,

Thanks for contacting us on Boards.

As long as your other half still continues pays her loan, this should not be a problem. We would also advise you to check this with our lending team to clarify this, as there may be specific terms and conditions that apply. You can call them on 0818 200 334 between the hours of 8am and 8pm Monday to Friday.

Please let us know if you need help with any other query.

    Thanks,
    Sarah
