    Hi there,

I'm travelling to the states soon on my own for a couple of weeks.

I usually travel quite light anyway, I hate those massive backpacks.

I'd usually bring a bag about the size of the average kids schoolbag if a tiny bit bigger.

what I am wondering is... does anyone know of a a relatively small bag like this with a dedicated compartment for my ipad (and a few small bits) that can then detach and become it's own bag?

That way I can leave all my bulky clothes and stuff in the hotel but still have small bag to carry around with me in the cities.

I'm having trouble finding anything like this online.

    thanks

wow man, that's pretty much exactly what I'm looking for, i'd have never thought of looking on Ikea for one.

I wonder how the quality is though ? although at that price if it just lasts me the two weeks it won't owe me anything .

    cheers dude

I'll probably end up with this one in the next week or so but if anyone else has any other suggestions then please go ahead also thanks

Glad I could help. I've had a larger Ikea wheeled duffel bag for a couple of years now and it's still going strong despite having been thrown around planes, trains and automobiles, and as you said it's not a bank breaker so might be worth a punt.
