Masturbation Issue

I used to masturbate easily once a day and sometimes a lot more (maybe 5) if I was bored. I am in the process of doing the 'nofap' challenge and am currently at 30 days. I was going to have the first one in around a week although I am having second thoughts. I feel like before the nofap any time I saw anything remotely arousing or even being naked I would get an erection and usually take a ****. In watched porn today without **** trying to condition myself not to get aroused as easily. I normally can climax within a couple of minutes by myself which obviously is not ideal. I tense my whole body legs stomach etc and I'd climax very quickly. If I don't tense I can last much longer but it is very difficult not to tense.

So basically I am wondering what I should do!

No Idea what the nofap challenge is however masturbation is perfectly normal . Pretty much everyone you will meet has masturbated at some point .

If it is not causing a real issue in your life and is not interfering with others then do what feels ok for you . If a drought is necessary to find a balance so that you can last longer then by all means continue your drought .

Find something to watch other then pornography and keep yourself occupied with something other then masturbation . But as I said unless its causing you issues other then striking early then as you please .

Just to reiterate the other poster, if its not affecting you in terms of an actual sexual relationship, then off you go. However, excessive masturbation combined with regular use of porn can lead to weak erections and erectile dysfunction in the longterm. But it is age dependant.

I personally think the NoFap movement is an exercise in futility and I don't like the anti-sex Christian sentiments it's associated with.

Everything in moderation. If you are doing it too much, take a few days off. It might be more beneficial to not watch porn though as it can desensitise you, same if you have a death grip going at a million miles an hour - you're going to find it difficult having sex if you let that become habitual. You don't need to watch porn without **** - that's silly. Just have a bit more mental control over your arousal and more balance in your sexual life. You didn't mention what age you are - teens will masturbate a lot more frequently, they're still discovering their bodies. If it's a case that you are bored - find something to fill that time, and maybe leave it until bedtime to do that.

There is nothing wrong with masturbation as long as it's done in a healthy manner and isn't interfering with other aspects of your life.

Surely though being and to climax in 2 minutes is not good, unless you paying a hooker by the minute! Also is it normal to tense abs and legs while masturbating or just when climaxing?

That's just a bad habit on your part - try slowing down a bit and not in the same position as every time, because when it comes to any sort of sexual encounter, your body is going to want to be in the exact same position, speed, tension to trigger off and you're just going to end up having issues. If it's something you're doing every day, why not drop it to every second day, do it in a different position, take it slowly and explore your body in a more sensual way rather than become the human jackhammer :pac:

Genuinely though - be conscious of grip/speed, you'll end up desensitising yourself if you are exerting too much force.

I'm trying nofap and at 5 days. I think its good for me as I was using porn as a safe haven from women. YMMV though.

You know how guys (especially when young) typically all go along with what is essentially bravado about typical cock size? You will find that time to reach climax is exaggerated in much the same way.You are probably more likely to get to a number that is still closer to 2 minutes than 20 or 30 minutes even after you are experienced and relaxed a bit. Also you can get condoms that have desensitizing gel on the inside so your cock is not so sensitive. Also things like oral sex (actually learn what you are doing), finger vibrators, or simply learning to calm yourself down can help or make up for premature ejaculation. Both partners being satisfied is much more important than lasting for a certain length of time. I take medication that causes me to have delayed ejaculation and after 20-30 minutes of trying and still not feeling close I can tell you that feels much worse than being so excited you can barely put it in before finishing.

I think it's worth mentioning that there is a stretch of difference in climax from masturbation and climax from sex. Masturbation is generally (from my experience) about the climax and release, while sex is for the most part about everything from start to finish. If my partner could only last 2 minutes maximum during sex, I'd think we might want to look into it, but with masturbation he would know exactly what to do to achieve climax as quickly as possible.
