Hey guys, i cna't find anywhere relevant to put this!

I'm trying to get a 2.5KG boxed limited edition of a game including a little statue in it etc sent from the UK to here. It's a self contained box, and will be wrapped nicely etc to prevent it getting damaged.
What should be the cost of getting this thing sent from the UK to ireland?
The guy was quoted 80 quid in the post office.
He's not trying to send a Safe or something, he's trying to send something the size of a toaster thats about 2.5KG's, Any idea on how i can get this thing for less than the cost of the actual item?

    Cheers!

    Royal Mail £28.50.

This is really the wrong forum for this kind of question.

Well i'd recently made a post here, so it seemed like the safest bet!
Also, you could argue that it could go here. ie: how much has the recession affected costs of delivery due to the post offices and courier services costs/losses/inflation lol

Check out maybe Parcel Motel? Get him to check price to UK postal address BT36 4PE, and it'll be delivered to a location near you for maybe €3.95 depending on the size; http://www.parcelmotel.com/howmuch.html
