    You can certainly buy replacement foils, so it must be a Done Thing. Some would say they should be replaced at 12-18 months? Depends on manufacturer and how often you shave and what the stubble is like. One thing's for sure, they would surely become blunter over the years and it's probably getting duller and duller so gradually you don't notice!

    Thats a fair point, it might of been so gradual that I didn't notice.

    Was just on the Philips website, they said to change heads every 2 years for best results.

    I'll have a look on amazon.

    Regional eBay sites show a distinct leaning towards maintenance of a well loved electric razor.

    Search ebay.de for instance, foils come up more than say, the UK site. They really do seem to love their Eva Brauns..
