If you have a scanner at home, you can scan it and send as an attachment with your email, this will speed up the process in most cases.

They come by courier, usually next day service if ordered at the right time. The courier has no idea as to the content of the delivery. I can vouch for this as one package was misplaced and when I went through the courier as you do in any shipping problems thier customer care dept was a little shocked at the contents - slab of 12g and box of .243.
I duely contacted the shop and mentioned this, but the shop was unconcerned re-assuring me all was ok. My 'package' was found and promptly delivered.

I have used this system for over two years getting everything from a cleaning kit to a shotgun delivered to my door with only the one hick up as detailed. Great service as I would spend the delivery cost, €5.00, alone on diesel to and from my local shop not to mention time and effort.........more time for the couch:rolleyes:

Hmm problem go to boarding school and only home weekends...could anyone in the house sign for it...

Oh and what shop did ye buy from

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,759 ✭✭✭cookimonster

Anyone can sign for it, as I outlined its just a standard courier service, but it must go to the FAC holders address as per terms and conditions of the shop.
I have used a few shops around the country but tend to buy most of my ammo from Sportsden Navan.

Though you had to be their with licence etc,

Will be ordering ammo online now...find it hard to get HP subsonic's in waterford and portlaoise...only have cci and i hate it as it gets stuck in my chamber!

    Thanks lads

Its absolutely deadly that we can do this ! I buy all my ammo online now because of the wide selection and good price. My local shop has very limited choice and the next place after that is a good 40 miles away ! They will only deliver to the address on the license and Ive never been asked to sign anything... I always request that I get a phonecall 30 mins before delivery so I can be sure Im home but it never happens. Courier usually delivers it to the local village shop which I HATE cos sometimes he doesnt even call to the house
