Renault Trafic DCi 100 - underpowered

    Hi folks,

Anyone any idea where to start?

I have a 2005 Renault trafic and it is giving me a bit of bother. It feels underpowered / gutless until the turbo comes in and even then it doesn't pull as well as i feel it should.

Cruising at 120 kmh and you generally have to change down a gear to get it up a bit quicker, and the engine light comes on every now and then. It turns off if you back off the throttle for a bit.

She will fall back from 120 to 100 on any decent hill on the motorway - noticed it coming up the M8 from cork yesterday especially.

    MAF?
    EGR?
    boost control valve?
    sometihng else?

anyone any similar experience or advice?

She is never laden, as it is used as a family car rather than as a workhorse commercial.

    thanks

    Get proper diagnostics done

All the parts you mentioned are 150-250 and might not be any of them.

Cheaper with them to try find out properly first
