Only a couple of hours left before the drudgery of wind, rain, dark and general miserableness begins.

What would be an appropriate way to enjoy the last hours of summer?

You could have a barbecue or go to the beach I suppose, sure it's only 10 O'clock.

Having an extra **** ton of traffic in the morning is nothing to celebrate :(

Cake, and grief counseling, will be available at the conclusion of the test

This. I'll be booking my summer holiday tomorrow. Well, figuring out which day to jump on a train for Galway and beyond. I'll need some sun and many pubs and a woman.

Hi Galway here, unfortunately we can only guarantee 2 out of 3 on your list. Can you guess which one?

I missed Summer this year. I hear it's on a Saturday next year, so most of us should be able to enjoy it.

Whoa, don't just jump to conclusions! There are other ways to succeed.

If you bled a bit then that counts too.? :)

I've a 5 minute walk in the cold , but at least I'm. Been considerate to my fellow boardies by not driving and adding to any delays

But after my 10 minutes of walking in the cold I'll be in parental bliss for several hours

Right, so the weather is off. A corpse can score in Roisin Dubhs if it comes to that.

Back in work today after the summer holidays! If my contract is not renewed in October then I'll be heading to Thailand in the early new year to teach! Mid 20's to low 30's that time of year! (Jan-Feb) Then I believe after it starts to get seriously hot then! :D

For the rest of the summer I'm considering writing a strongly worded letter to a local school that just doubled my commute time thanks to their muppet lollypop lady. Literally doubled. A road that has been free flowing all summer was gridlocked. Why? Because there's a lollypop lady at a pedestrian crossing, who pushes the lights every time even a solitary kid arrives to cross. Even if there's another kid about a minute's walk away. Pushes the lights, which turn almost instantly, sees the child across the road (why, oh why, does a lollypop lady need traffic lights?), goes back to where she was, lights EVENTUALLY turn green, another child arrives as they turn green and she pushes the button again. 2 cars at a time were getting through. 2. Because she had to push the button just as soon as a child arrived rather than even letting maybe, 3 or 4 cars through. Nahp. Immaa cause GRIDLOCK. In reality, I'll probably spend the rest of the summer contemplating this letter rather than writing it.

Im officially in the northern hemisphere, but I can still annoy the **** out of you, by saying it was 30 plus today with variable cloud and no skanky Irish pricks like you get in Australia. Tis grand.
