    Why did my NCT only last 6 months? Do all NCT certs not last a year if the car is over 10years

    They last until the anniversary of the first registration o the car in Ireland. The longest NCT you can get is 15 months and the shortest is 3 months.

    No problem :) You can book your next NCT 3 months in advance of the due date and you'll get a 15 month test.

    Or its an SPSV, they are yearly or six monthly depending on age

    Must be, you'd get a minimum of 1 year otherwise.
