    Hi all,
We have a space under our stairs and as there is only one bathroom upstairs we would love a toilet downstairs. At the moment it seems impossible but from looking at pics on internet there seems to be no end to possibilities..
The space seems fairly tight to us in some parts,.the main problem being the stairs..The supporting beam is very chunky..(1950's build)Can stairs be raised a bit?Is it an expensive job? They are quite steep as they are..
The gas meter is currently under the stairs..I assume it could just be boxed in..
There is a stud wall in it too to the left which could be knocked out, It would add about
84cm deep - doorframe to back wall
6FT 2- approx standing height behind stud wall- support beam for stairs in the way
1ft 3 is the width behind stud wall

We are just trying to weigh up our options..We are aware that anything we do get will be tiny but worth having a downstairs loo
